PROVIDING THE PLACES TO MAKE THE CHANGE

Community isn’t just about the geographical boundaries that define where you live. Community is about people and the beliefs, values, and shared experiences we’ve built together. There’s a commonality in a community that provides the single greatest means of engagement and the best hope for social change. At the Passion Project Initiative, we work to create socially conscious events that will bring together communities in that same common experience while empowering them through education and community engagement.

Each of our events are unique and intentionally focused on a purpose to empower. From our efforts we utilize utilize our platforms to raise funds to support our non-profit organization partners who offer youth tutoring services, financial literacy, and STEAM programs. It’s through these pillars of action, derived from our mission, that we seek to create a world that is better not just for us, but for every generation after us.

TAKE A LOOK AT OUR UPCOMING EVENTS

Juneteenth Family Fest 2023

On Saturday, June 17, 2023, we will kick off our 3rd Annual Juneteenth Family Fest! This community-family-based event will take place at the Riverfront Park in North Charleston, SC, and is open and free to the public. You can arrive as early as 2 pm, and festivities will begin at 3 pm. This day-long celebration will be power-packed with activities ranging from live performances, black art displays, games for children, and delicious cultural food! There will also be non-profit organizations, local community service vendors, as well as Historical Black Colleges and Universities on site. This joyous occasion will be topped off with a grand fireworks show finale that will be worth watching with your family and friends! We’re asking the community to come out and celebrate where we’ve come from, as we look forward to where we are heading and what we desire to accomplish.

THE PASSION PROJECT INITIATIVE

We are founded with a simple mission. The Passion Project Initiative creates platforms that cultivate forward progress in our society through education empowerment and community engagement. We do this by developing purposeful programs and events that empower members of our community and help encourage social change and dialogue, as well as partnering with other passionate non-profits organizations and advocates who support the social change we want to see for a better world. Changing the world begins one person, one community, and one passion at a time. Our contribution to change is to empower each of those people through education and through community engagement to truly make a positive mark in our world for a better today and tomorrow.

We believe that change happens when we all come together, and we aim to help foster the social change we want to see.
